Acceptance of Terms
By accessing or using Scout, you agree to these Terms of Service. If you are using Scout on behalf of an organization, you represent that you have authority to bind that organization to these terms.
If you do not agree to these terms, do not access or use the service.
The Service
Scout provides website monitoring, page discovery, scanning, alerting, and related tooling. We may update, improve, limit, or discontinue features from time to time, especially while parts of the product remain in beta.
We aim for reliability, but you understand that features, integrations, scan results, and availability may change as the service evolves.
Accounts and Access
You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your account and for all activities that occur under it. You must provide accurate information and keep your credentials secure.
You are also responsible for ensuring that the sites and pages you ask Scout to monitor are ones you are authorized to access or test.
Acceptable Use
You may not use Scout in a way that is unlawful, abusive, infringing, deceptive, harmful to others, or intended to interfere with the service or third-party systems.
- Do not use Scout to monitor or access properties you do not control or have permission to assess.
- Do not attempt to reverse engineer, disrupt, overload, or misuse the platform.
- Do not use the service to transmit malware, spam, or unlawful content.
- Do not use Scout in a way that violates the rights or privacy of others.
Billing and Paid Features
Some features may require a paid subscription. If you purchase a paid plan, you agree to pay applicable fees, taxes, and charges associated with your selected plan.
Billing may be handled by third-party processors. Your use of those payment services is subject to their own terms and policies.
Third-Party Services
Scout may rely on or integrate with third-party services such as authentication providers, payment processors, hosting providers, communication platforms, and analytics vendors.
We are not responsible for third-party products or services, and your use of them may be governed by separate agreements.
Intellectual Property
Scout and its related software, branding, content, and documentation are owned by us or our licensors and are protected by applicable intellectual property laws.
Subject to these terms, we grant you a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable, revocable right to use the service for your internal business or personal use.
Disclaimers
Scout is provided on an as-is and as-available basis. To the maximum extent permitted by law, we disclaim all warranties, whether express, implied, or statutory, including implied warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, title, and non-infringement.
We do not guarantee that the service will be uninterrupted, error-free, perfectly secure, or that every issue on a monitored site will be detected.
Limitation of Liability
To the maximum extent permitted by law, Scout and its affiliates, officers, employees, and service providers will not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, exemplary, or punitive damages, or for any loss of profits, revenues, data, goodwill, or business opportunities arising out of or related to your use of the service.
To the extent liability cannot be fully disclaimed, our total liability for claims arising from the service will be limited to the amount you paid us for the service during the 12 months preceding the event giving rise to the claim.
Suspension and Termination
We may suspend or terminate access to Scout if we believe you have violated these terms, created risk for the service or other users, or if we are required to do so by law.
You may stop using the service at any time. Provisions that by their nature should survive termination will survive, including provisions related to payment obligations, intellectual property, disclaimers, limitations of liability, and dispute-related terms.
Changes to These Terms
We may update these Terms of Service from time to time. When we do, we will revise the effective date on this page and may provide additional notice when the changes are material.
Your continued use of Scout after updated terms become effective means you accept the revised terms.
